IX. Cookies Policy
The optidata.pl service (hereinafter: the “Service”) uses cookies, small text files containing IT data. Cookies are saved by the Service through the web browser on the user’s end device (computer, tablet, smartphone).
The cookies used by the Service are safe for the Service users. It is not possible for viruses or other malicious software to enter users’ end devices through cookies. These files do not in any way identify personal data of the Service users, nor are they harmful to users’ end devices, nor do they cause configuration changes on users’ end devices or in the software installed on those devices.
For the convenience of using our services, we use Local Storage (LS) technology, which operates similarly to cookies but has slightly different properties.
LS is a designated part of the browser’s memory used to store data saved by websites. Access to it can only be obtained by the web page operating within the same site from which the data was saved; however, unlike cookies, LS data is not sent by the browser with every server request. Data stored in LS is kept long-term by the browser and is neither deleted after closing the browser nor assigned an expiration time. In the remainder of this privacy policy, the term “Cookies” will also include LS.
Cookies in the Service are used for functional purposes, i.e., to enable the use of our website and its proper display, its optimization and improvement, ensuring security, remembering user settings, and tailoring the site to user needs, as well as maintaining sessions.
Furthermore, with the user’s consent expressed by ticking the appropriate option in the cookies notification appearing after visiting the Service, cookies may also be used for statistical, advertising, or targeting purposes.
In this case, recipients of personal data may include entities providing Optidata with cookie management services, advertising, marketing, or statistical services, including companies from the Google group, which may also result in the transfer of data to a third country. In this case, we ensure that the transfer will be made to a country that, according to the European Commission, provides an adequate level of protection or to an entity that ensures appropriate safeguards, enforceable rights of data subjects, and effective legal protection measures, in particular by concluding an agreement containing standard data protection clauses with the entity receiving the data.
More information about how Google uses data from websites can be found HERE.
In this case, the user also has the right to data portability, i.e., the right to receive their personal data from us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. You may transfer these data to another data controller or request that we send the data directly to another controller. However, we will do this only if such a transfer is technically feasible.
If the user consents to the use of cookies for targeting purposes, automated decision-making, including profiling, may occur. This involves creating a user profile based on the content viewed by the user on the Service and other websites, resulting in the adjustment of content displayed to the user according to the created profile. The user may object to profiling at any time.
Most web browsers have the option to accept cookies enabled by default. The user is responsible for making any changes to the browser settings related to cookies. These settings can be changed, in particular, to disable cookies or to notify the user each time cookies are stored on their end device. Disabling cookies may negatively affect the convenience of using the Service’s websites.
To manage cookie settings, the user should select the web browser they use and disable cookies according to that browser’s settings. Comprehensive information on managing cookies is available in the software (web browser) settings. Details for users of specific browsers, including:
