• Colocation – the oldest cloud model, which involves renting space in a data center. The client is provided with electrical power, internet access, and air conditioning.
• IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) – a model where hardware, software, and maintenance are provided by the service provider.
• PaaS (Platform as a Service) – a model where the service provider delivers a ready-made set of applications tailored individually to the client’s needs.
• SaaS (Software as a Service) – a model in which the client receives specified software and functionalities without needing to purchase licenses, paying only for actual usage.

A major advantage is the ability to access data from any place and at any time using a web browser.

Research commissioned by the European Commission in 2011 shows that the average savings in companies that decided to implement the cloud ranged from 10-20% of IT costs.

The hardware and all applications are stored in a secure center that ensures full integrity and access to data only by the given enterprise.
